Synopsis

In the near future, 77-year-old Tereza receives an unexpected government order to relocate to a remote housing colony for the elderly. Refusing to accept the future planned for her, she sets off on a journey down the rivers of the Amazon to fulfil a long-held dream before her freedom is taken away. Along the way, Tereza encounters unexpected friendships, extraordinary landscapes and experiences that change the course of her life. The Blue Trail is a beautifully imaginative and heartfelt story about freedom, resilience, adventure and refusing to let age define what is still possible.
